RB-41 II Performance

The Klipsch RB-41 II speakers look good, but how do they sound? In a word, surprisingly good. With the 1-inch titanium horn tweeter, we expected highs to be represented well, and they were. Many people think horn’s have a harsh sound, but the 41’s had detailed high’s without being overly bright. Mid-frequencies were also well represented. For music reproduction, the Klipsch Reference RB-41’s had a very balanced sound. The bass output on the 41’s is what surprised us the most. For speakers this size you don’t expect much however, in the case of the RB-41’s they had good bass output. Keep in mind, these speakers won’t produce thunderous bass, but they do provide a nice thump. At high volumes they never broke a sweat.

Conclusion

Overall, the Klipsch Reference RB-41 II speakers are a great value. Although, they’re the smallest in Klipsch’s Reference line, these things aren’t lacking in sound quality. They have a great balanced sound that works for all types of music genre’s.. For a home theater they could work as front mains, but they’re probably better suited for surrounds. Either way you can’t go wrong.
